FSM catches up with Dominique Vallee

Future Snowboarding Magazine sat down recently with Whistler shred Dominique Vallee to find out what’s new. From her recent travels, to her season highlights, summer plans and yoga background, FSM got the goods.

FSM: So what brings you to Carlsbad?
Dom: Visiting a friend I met in Bali last fall. I was supposed to be here for one week but I decided to change my ticket because I have nothing to do back home. The boarding is not that great I think on Blackcomb. It just snowed a foot but they’re building the gondola [the peak to peak gondola that will run from the top of Whistler to the top of Blackcomb]. So they closed all the park off at Blackcomb.

Pelosi leads all canucks on TWSnow Exposure Meter

K2 Snowboard’s Leanne Pelosi led the way among all Canadian riders as she placed 6th, and was the sole Canadian in the top 10, on Transworld Business’ Snow Exposure Meter for the 2007-08 snowboard season.

The rankings are determined based on each rider’s advertising and editorial coverage amassed from July 2007 to April 2008. Devun Walsh was the next highest Canadian on the list, and the only other Canadian in the top 50, placing 45th.

Andreas Wiig, Shaun White, Scotty Lago, Jeremy Jones (fs) and Nicolas Muller placed ahead of Pelosi, while Danny Kass, Gigi Ruf, Wolle Nyvelt and Pat Moore rounded out the top 10.
