Canadian snowboarder Charles Reid continued his dominance at the Oakley Stylewars hosted by Falls Creek Resort, Australia.
The contest continued as six finalists battled for the title of best overall and best trick under the lights of the Falls Creek village during the Volvo 28 Stair Rail Jam. Reid came off a great second day of riding and wrapped up both titles as he locked in technical tricks, including a backside 270 gap to frontside lipslide on the down-flat-down rail that won him the the title of best trick, on his way to winning the overall title for the night.
Reid didn’t stop there. The following day he destroyed the jump line under sunny skies to bump fellow Canadian Matts Kulisek out of the top spot in the standings. Kulisek would later finish third as last year’s champion Torstein Horgmo jumped up into second place.
Reid moves up nine places to seventh overall in TTR world standings, and receives 500 Swatch Ticket To Ride points and $7,000 for his efforts. Not too shabby for four days of work.
