Growing up in a small town in B.C.’s Okanagan Valley, Rusty Ockenden probably spent as much time dreaming about becoming a professional snowboarder, as he did snowboarding (which I’m sure was a lot of time because this kid has skills). He got his first full video part in Sandbox Film’s, Flavor Country, and locked down the closing segment in Sandbox’s 2007 release Time Well Wasted.

In this interview with Snowboard Canada’s Scott Birke, Rusty talks about getting his first hook up and what it will take for him to take the step to the next level.
