NoBoarding in Japan with Dice-K

If you haven’t heard of NoBoarding by now, you seriously need to pull your head out of the sand. This sport, pioneered by a group of Canadians including Cholo Burns and Greg Todds (R.I.P.), brings snowboarding back to its roots before snurfers and bungee-cord bindings met for the first time.

Transworld photographer Dice-K Maruyama travelled to Japan with the NoBoard crew this winter to see if the sensation of shredding sans-bindings would translate over on to Japanese powder. I won’t spoil the ending, but Transworld has a great photo gallery where you can check out the results for yourself.

It’s time to get in the ‘No’.
