The YOU LOOK GOOD RIDER’S CUP slopestyle series, presented by Coors Light, has been a staple on the Canadian event calender for a number of years. What started as a small event organized by local riders in Ontario, has blown up in to a nationwide series featuring some of the best riders in the country.
The 2009 edition of the YLGRC series is Canada’s first, and only, contest series to garner a 3-star rating from the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour. Competitors will have the chance to obtain TTR points while gaining international media exposure.
With more than $22,000 and $50,000 in prizing, the YLG series already has a large purse, but there will be some new things add to the mix this season including $500 for men’s and women’s best trick, outerwear sponsorships from Ripzone, five-day trips to the Camp of Champions and two trips to Baldface Lodge for filming trips.
Check it out on Snowboard Canada, get more information about the series on the YOU LOOK GOOD website and learn more about the organizing company, eventsing promotions, in my report on the About the Author page of FrontLipped.
