Sebastien Toutant has done it again. For the second weekend in a row, the young buck climpbed to the top step of a contest podium, and walked away with $10,000 for his efforts. Last weekend it was the Showdown Over the City at Grouse, this weekend it was the RIDE Shakedown at Saint-Sauveur.
It’s a good thing grease and water don’t mix well, because the substantial downpours that filled the weekend didn’t mess with the buttery tricks that all the riders were throwing down on the course.
The show started Friday night with Will Lavigne and Silvia Mittermueller winning the men’s and women’s categories of the Coors Light Rail Jam on the Amp Energy staircase feature (enough sponsors for yah?), and walking away with $5,000 and $3,000 respectively.
The contest continued Saturday where 15 men and four women battled it out on the massive booter to staircase feature. The action was intense with contest heavy hitters such as Charles Reid, Yale Cousino and Marie-France Roy all on hand, but it was Toutant and American Hana Beaman who took the top spots in men’s and women’s respectively.
