Toronto, ON – The Coors Light YOU LOOK GOOD Rider’s Cup (YLGRC10), Canada’s premier slopestyle series, returns for its sixth year. At the forefront of the Canadian snowboard contest scene, YLGRC10 has four signature events this year with more than $20,000 in cash and $50,000 in prizing.
YLGRC10 is Canada’s only open event that welcomes and encourages snowboarders of all ages and talent levels. The YLGRC10 is nationally-recognized as a launching ground for Canadian snowboard talent, assisting in riders’ progression from amateur to professional.
In addition to fostering some of Canada’s greatest snowboard talent, YLGRC also has a large fan base, including family, friends and snowboard enthusiasts across Canada. For the first time ever, YLGRC is partnering with Push.ca to launch the Slope-side Host Search. Canadians are encouraged to visit Push.ca and submit a 60-second video that shows why you have what it takes to be the ultimate slope-side host. One winner per YLGRC stop across Canada will get hooked up, head to toe, by Salomon, Bonfire and Camp of Champions. Winners will appear in Push.ca’s live video coverage of the YLGRC as the slope-side host; talking about the event, interviewing riders and announcing the winners at each regional stop.
The YLGRC10 overall series winner in the Coors Light Pro Women and Men Open Category are going international! Winners will receive a seven day Surf Safari in Algarve, Portugal, provided by Atlantic Riders, including accommodations at the eco-friendly camp, surf instruction, meals and equipment. Alrgarve Tourism Bureau will also be providing three nights accommodation in the Pedralva Village, a farewell dinner and Algarve Boart Trip in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa. Coors Light Pro points are only accumulated in the Pro Open Male and Female category. The overall series winners will be announced at the completion of the series during the awards at Sunshine Village on April 24.
YLGRC10 will begin its Canadian tour at Mont Tremblant on February 6, 2010 where snowboarders will compete for $5,000 in cash and $12,000 in prizing. This is the fifth year YLGRC has visited Mont Tremblant, Quebec’s number one ski resort. In past years, Mont Tremblant has had one of the highest turnouts in the series, showcasing an incredible talent pool.
